Course: Observer/Sniper
Description
- Five-day course. (Hosting agency must provide minimum 100 meter range)
- Attendee should be potential SWAT team Observer/Sniper (OB/S).
- Observation techniques and recording critical site intelligence will be provided.
- Attendees will receive a marksmanship proficiency evaluation, in addition to receiving training in rifle marksmanship, target identification and coordinated shooting and an introduction to basic combat shooting skills.
- Lectures on the fundamentals of shooting skills, camouflage, stalking, final shooting positions (hides).
- Practical exercises in individual and two person team movement. The course will culminate with an OB/S and Command Post field exercise.
(Attendee must provide rifle and 500 rounds of ammunition)
